The Newcomers Club of New Canaan offers a wide variety of activities including cocktail parties, gourmet groups, children’s activities, sports groups, book clubs, scrapbooking parties and more. Participating in our many club activities is a great way to make new friends with common interests and get involved in our wonderful town. And if you have an idea for a new activity or would like to become an activity leader, we welcome you to put your creative energy to work. The Newcomers Club of New Canaan is one of the most active Newcomers organizations in the country. If you talk to anyone in town you will probably hear them say they met some of their closest friends through the Newcomers Club.
New Canaan is a very family-friendly town and our Newcomers Club is no exception! We organize activities and provide numerous resources for new families. The Children's Activities team focuses on creating fun events for children ages newborn to five. We also organize playgroups for children ages newborn to three. This Fall, playgroups will start the week of September 14th. Sign up now to meet like-minded Moms and enjoy the occasional Mom's Night Out. Discover Fairfield County as we visit local attractions with our kids, mingle at monthly social gatherings for the entire family and learn about New Canaan Pre-Schools during our bi-annual Pre-School Forum. Through the Ways and Means committee, the Newcomers Club of New Canaan raises funds throughout the year to support local charities. This committee’s role involves planning and hosting small and large fundraising events.
Each February the process of nominating the following year's board begins. Active newcomers members may nominate themselves or other members for various positions on the board.

Activity leaders are always needed. It’s a great way to get involved and meet new people!
