The 2007 Holiday House Tour
On December 6th, 2007, The Newcomers Club of New Canaan held its 21st biennial “Homes for the Holidays” charitable house tour, featuring five extraordinary homes of varying architectural styles, each creatively and exquisitely decorated in a particular holiday theme. For nearly 30 years, this event has supported the work of numerous charities. This year's event raised a record amount of over $85,000 which made it possible for our charitable fund to support more organizations than ever before (see media for more information).
Each home on the tour featured the work of a talented professional designer, both on the interiors and holiday décor, additionally making this a designer show-house type event. Attendees received a copy of our exclusive magazine-bound Homes for the Holidays House Tour Resource Guide, including a glossary listing of local home renovation contractors and design professionals.
A house tour luncheon took place at the Roger Sherman Inn. High level patrons of the tour and corporate sponsors were invited to attend our House Tour Gala on the evening of the tour, which took place at one of New Canaan's premier estates.
Connecticut Cottages and Gardens and Westchester Cottages and Gardens magazines were the exclusive regional media partners. Local and regional businesses who sponsored this event enjoyed high profile marketing of their goods and services and an association with the good work and charitable endeavors supported by this event.
Please see our press release under “media” for more information about the tour.
