The Newcomers Club is still looking for creative, enthusiastic volunteers to fill a few remaining positions on the Holiday House Tour committee. If you are interested in meeting other Newcomers and being a part of the club's largest fundraising event, we would love to hear from you.
Marketing and Publicity (contact Eileen Murphy, Epcmurphy@gmail.com)
- Written Communications Coordinator: help chair with press releases, photo ops, and contacting media outlets; organize press kits; escort writers and photographers through showcase homes
- Calendar Coordinator: submit event to various web event calendars and "things to do" sections; review postings periodically
Operations (contact Lesley Cousley, lacousley@gmail.com)
- Traffic and Security Coordinator: work with another volunteer (already in place) to organize routes and directions; liaise with police regarding route and traffic maintenance; coordinate lunches for officers; draft letters to neighbors of showcase homes.
- House Hostesses: Greet tour-goers at a particular home on the day of the event; learn some information about the home to share with guests; two-hour shift.
